Figure Drawing #2: More gesture and beans
Tried to apply what I learned from landmarks video and robobean video lmao. They're not very clean and I didn't really know what I was doing. I guess these were useful since I have struggled with trying to represent the form of the torso in the past.
Under the read more are notes taken and short reflection.

Figure Drawing Practice #1: Gesture and the Bean
This starts off a concentrated effort in learning figure drawing and then anatomy. My motivation is mostly personal reasons because it's not fun drawing a body and feeling like your understanding is really lacking. So let's start the journey to better bods.
I'm using proko vids to start off. Notes and reflections under the cut.

Portrait Practice #2
More portrait practice. I'd like to move on to figure drawing practice in my next study posts while still doing some portrait studies.
Under the cut are notes and reflections.

Draws from this month so far
Mob psycho fanart. The latest chapters...are very interesting.
I kind of want to make a better more polished version of the left pic lol. In the style of 50s sci fi illustration. Right is the birthday boyo.

Portrait Practice #1
It's intimidating trying to choose what fundamental of art to practice. You get paralyzed by the sheer number of choices. But you gotta start somewhere. Even if that somewhere is actually familiar. ...like really familiar. Like I draw this thing like 20 times a day familiar. What else is there to learn about that thing? You would be surprised.
And so I'm trying to learn something or another about portraits. Because I think, despite drawing a shitload of them, I certainly still suck at them.
Under the cut are notes and studies and some processes.
Backgrounds for NaNoRenO
I worked on backgrounds for the game AIRIS for the NaNoRenO game jam. It's a dating visual novel that takes place inside a medieval esque sort of mmorpg. I recommend checking it out. Above is an example of one of them. Under the cut are more backgrounds and some words on the process of their production. (It's pretty long.)
I learned a lot during my one month and felt embarrassed about my lack of skills but I'm glad they welcomed me aboard despite that.
