Drawpile Pile 2

More drawpile doodles... I really like drawpile for sketching, like really really like. I've been trying to replicate a brush like drawpile's brush for clip studio paint... Painting on drawpile is quite the nightmare though lol.

Drawpiles Oodles of Doodles

Drawing on drawpile is very motivating... I wish I had this kind of motivation drawing on my lonesome.

Figure Drawing 16: Hands Study

Hands for moderndayjames' biweekly art challenge on youtube. There was also a 100 feet study I failed to finish.

I also took some hand notes from proko under the cut.

Mermay Concept and Drawpile Doodles

I started drawing on drawpile more. I really like roleplaying on drawpile with drawings. It's making me think about expressiveness of gestures and faces. I wanted to see if I could make my characters have easier to read acting.
I drew a manatee for mermay but I decided not to go further. It was fun though. I just couldn't think of a satisfying composition.
 Some drawpile doodles.

Portraits Practice #3

I've been doing studies of asaro heads. They're like low poly heads. i think it's helping me to see the parts of the head where gradual transition of values is present versus the areas where it's a severe change in values. Reference.

I also did a portrait study but I feel like I need to spend a bit more time on the lay in phase. I listened to some Jeff Watts videos while doing this.

Figure Drawing #15: The upper Leg Muscles

UPPER MUSCLES OF UPPER LEG

Did the above more recently
One can think of these muscles as comparable to the deltoid heads of the arm. Not sure if that is an accurate way to see it as.

MUSCLES OF LOWER PART OF UPPER LEG

I neglected to post these pages from a long time ago.

Early 2019 Dump

Some stuff from last December to now. There are a lot of things about these that now that I look at it wow it could rly be improved. Time sure exposes the weaknesses of pieces. Or maybe I'm learning way better how to see. I didn't have the eyes to see those weaknesses when I drew the pieces to say the least.

Since my last post I've been playing a lot of monster hunter world. I enjoy the world building and I'm eyeing the 560 page book with all the concept art... It's a game light on story and heavy on gameplay which is not the type of game I usually play. I bought a better computer that can handle games like this and mhw was the first game I bought. Hmmm. I've poured hundreds of hours into this game and it shows....it shows how little art i've made hahaha. I've got to work on my self discipline. Either that or mhw is just that good of a game. *shrugs*
